We install all types of shingle, slate, and metal roofing on steep slopes, with warranties ranging from 30 years to lifetime.
Today the most popular type of low slope and flat roofing is a single-ply membrane roof often called “rubber roofing”. We are certified by many manufacturers including Firestone, Carlisle, and JP Stevens, and have held a master contractors status from Firestone for several years running. These single-ply roofs are backed by 15 to 30 year warranties.
We also install built-up roofing which is commonly known as “hot tar” or “tar + gravel” roofs. We are certified Tremco installers and have installed many built-up roofs on schools and hospitals throughout New England. These roofs can be warrantied for up to 50 years.
Modified bitumen is another type of less expensive flat or low sloped roofing material.
It is sometimes called “torch down” roofing because that is how it is applied, with a roofing torch that heats up the asphalt on the roll roofing which adheres it to the substrate. These roofs have warranties of 10 or 12 years.
